Madison Pediatric Dental and Orthodontics is pleased to have on its team Dr. Grace Wenham, Board Certified Pediatric Dentist. Dr. Grace was born and raised in Gainesville, Florida. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Florida and her Doctorate of Dental Medicine from Nova Southeastern University. Following graduation, Dr. Grace practiced general and cosmetic dentistry in a multi-specialty private practice near Boston, Massachusetts. In 2009, Dr. Grace moved to Madison where she joined Madison Pediatric Dental and Orthodontics as a part-time general dentist. Her love of working with children lead her to pursue her specialty certificate in pediatric dentistry at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin. With experience in both pediatric and general dentistry, Dr. Grace is particularly focused on looking at oral health from a long term perspective. She strongly believes that prevention and patient education is the key to dental health. Dr. Grace also loves working with the adolescent population and is passionate about empowering children and young adults through encouragement and positive reinforcement. In addition to private practice, Dr. Grace is dedicated to improving access to care for children in our community. Madison Pediatric Dental & Orthodontics is very pleased to have on its team Dr. Thomas Wenham, specializing in orthodontics. Dr. Wenham’s education and training brings an extra dimension to the clinic and helps create great smiles for your children. Dr. Wenham was born and raised on a dairy farm in Milton, Wisconsin. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He then received his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Following dental school, Dr. Wenham earned a Master’s Degree and Certificate in Orthodontics from Harvard University in Boston, Massachusetts. Dr. Wenham is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, and Wisconsin Dental Association. Dr. Wenham decided to return to the Badger State after completing his education. Joining him in Wisconsin and in the practice is his wife, Grace. An avid collegiate and professional sports fan, Dr. Wenham closely follows all teams, especially the Wisconsin Badgers, Milwaukee Brewers and Green Bay Packers. He also enjoys playing golf and tennis and cheering for the Badgers at many home games. Dr. Doug Wilson founded Madison Pediatric Dental & Orthodontics over 30 years ago, however, he knew earlier of his ambition in life. At the early age of eight Dr. Wilson knew he wanted to be a dentist. After graduating from the University of Iowa and completing his residency at Milwaukee Children’s Hospital, Dr. Wilson established his practice in Madison. His strong desire to work with children in a unique atmosphere, and his own fears of the dentist as a child were captured and incorporated into the design of this office. Pediatric dentistry has always been at the top of Dr. Wilson’s passions. He pioneered the concept of parents being allowed to be with their children during dental visits. Dr. Wilson also introduced the concept of monitored oral sedation dentistry to the Madison area. Madison Pediatric Dental & Orthodontics recently initiated new preventative methods and educational programs for the parents of infants. This includes the use of new fluoride products, Xylitol wipes and chewing gum, and the expanded role of genetics and diet in tooth decay. Dr. Beth Blair joined Madison Pediatric Dental and Orthodontics in January 2015 adding another choice for your child’s dental care. Dr. Beth was born and raised in Bismarck, ND. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Arizona in Tucson, AZ and abroad at the University of Newcastle in New South Wales, Australia. While at the University of Arizona, Dr. Beth was a member of both the cross country and track and field teams. She was a letter winner in both sports and was recognized for distinguished achievement, receiving All-American status for her performance at the NCAA Division I Cross Country Championships. She continued her education at Marquette University School of Dentistry in Milwaukee, WI. While in dental school, Dr. Beth received the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry Predoctoral Student Award for outstanding promise in the field of pediatric dentistry. Graduating cum laude, she received her Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) degree in 2011. Following two more years of specialty training at the Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, WI she received her certification in pediatric dentistry in 2013.
